Pretty good sushi - tasted fresh and not too much sauce so you can actually taste the fish, rice, and the toppings. Favorite was Geisha and Empress. The Taste Box itself was good too and good portion. Sticky tables - could do better with cleaning, but otherwise decent ambience. Not too loud too.

I recently visited Toro Toro on Yonge Street and was really impressed by their premium sushi offerings. The seafood was fresh, high-quality, and the flavors were creative and bold, definitely a step above your typical sushi spot. I especially enjoyed their Chrouching Tiger and The Fantasy sushi (which were beautifully presented and delicious.) The space is quite narrow with limited seating, so it can get a bit cramped, especially during busier times. If you’re planning to dine in, it’s worth considering this or visiting during off-peak hours. Otherwise, takeout is a convenient option, and their packaging is attractive and practical. Overall, Toro Toro is a fantastic spot for anyone craving premium sushi with a creative twist. The food definitely shines, and with a little more seating, it would be even better. I’d highly recommend it for a casual yet elevated sushi experience on Yonge Street.

Located near the Toronto Reference Library, we frequently buy takeaway sushi from Toro Toro for study sessions. The packaging of the food is sleek and mess-free. They often offer discount vouchers in-person, as well as online (both methods are very easy to navigate) The portions are reasonably priced and filling. They offer poke bowls (as indicated in the name) as well. We ordered the Crouching Tiger roll and other delicious sets.

Loved this place, amazing food. Got crowded really quick and I understand why. Not that many tables but the sushi is amazing. Hit three different rolls and all were amazing

Got two aburi oshi's (salmon and butterfish) and the crouching tiger roll. Loved it!! The roll was the highlight, without too much rice, and packed so well. The oshi's were good too, but could do with more searing and less rice. What stood out to me was the service and packaging. Totally worth it!

Truly delicious sushi and sashimi (3-4 person platter) with great variety, served cooler than room temperature with rich flavour. Service was self serve, for better or for worse. Less attention, no tips. Seat yourself like a common cafe. Not a lot of seats. They had a water dispenser with lemon/cucumber in it. The place has nice decor, though looks a bit run down based on since the table was kind of sticky (even after cleaning) and had some parts worn away.

I went here for my birthday freebie! You get a selection of Maki and the whole process was easy to claim. Just put in your phone number and they scan. I ordered a sunset Maki & chicken karaage and it came in this lovely box to eat from. Convenient but definitely missed plates. The rolls were decent sized, ingredients were fresh. The staff was friendly and quick. No table side service is provided just fyi. For some reason their menu wasn't scanning on my mobile so it was a little inconvenient to read through it at the counter on. Thank you Toro Toro!
